Several training workshops held ahead of conference that will discuss ear, nose and throat diseases.

United Arab Emirates, Dubai, January 13, 2013: Several pertinent workshops were held in Dubai ahead of a conference that will discuss ear, nose and throat( ENT) diseases.


The three-day conference known as the 10th GCC Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Conference, 3rd Emirates Rhinology Conference & 2nd Arab Otology & Audiology Conference, will take place at InterContinental Festival City and is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority.


More than 700 delegates from across the globe will gather to discuss latest advances in treating various ENT related diseases including obstructive sleep apnoea, snoring as well as diagnosis of vertigo in patients and its management. The conference will also discuss nose surgery for both functional and aesthetic purposes.


Prior to the conveying of this conference, several important workshops were held at Dubai Hospital and InterContinental Festival City.


Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman  
chairman of the conference and medical affairs director at Dubai Hospital said that more than 150 professionals attended the workshops which provided training on implants for hearing imbalanced patients; the workshops also discussed latest methods of conducting a sinus surgery, vertigo diagnosis and management and sleep apnoea.


He added that the workshops also discussed the latest in treating obstructive sleep apnoea.
