Fall-Winter 2012/2013 collection

With her fine, captivating face and confident look, this season’s See By girl

has set out to be vibrant and radical. Freed from the main collection, she

teases the house style codes, unabashedly putting her silhouette on

display. Her attitude toward fashion is, above all, to not look like everyone

else, but rather like she wants. In her wardrobe, more urban than ever,

breathtaking sensuality takes center stage.

Supple fabrics flow with the body’s motions. The spotlight is on mesh,

transparent and ultra-fine, like a continuation of the skin.

The colors (lime green, olive green, light grey, taupe, white) reveal contrasts

of shadow and light. Here, everything is implied, not overtly stated. Even the

palette of black hues is luminous, never stark.

To be the most beautiful while conveying nonchalance – this is the See By

fashion attitude.

Mesh, an object of desire, is seductive. In the daytime, sweaters and knits,

worn over a jean jacket or leather top, replace coats. At night, flowing mesh

becomes a sexy evening gown, accompanied by a jacket with a masculine

twist and a pair of boots for a unique, off-beat look. It’s fashion rewritten in a

whole new way.

Coats are adopting a new strategy this year, with oversized shapes and

deliberate cuts. As if to reinforce this perceived blend of hipness and

refinement, the shoulders are slightly slack.

Last of all, pants. This vital constituent of Chloé DNA comes in three

variations:

Urban, easy chic pants, a tad loose at the waist and slightly more tightfitting

in the legs.

Cropped worker pants, in dyed or pinstriped cotton, that reveal the ankles

and accentuate boots.

Second-skin pants, radicalized by a graphic print and long zipper that runs

the entire length of the leg.

A wardrobe enhanced by a selection of ultra-tight and effective

accessories, including a pair of distinctive pointy boots made of leather and

suede (in black, camel, light grey and mocha), their thick, wide heel

featuring a metal adornment.

Handbags are simple and free of superfluous details. Like this bowling bag

with its rounded edges and this ultra-supple clutch – reminiscent of a lunch

bag – that can be rolled up and tucked under the arm. The essence of style.
