Two sisters, maid die in car collision
Two Emirati sisters and their Sri Lankan maid died as their car collided with another on Maleeha Road in Sharjah on Sunday morning, police said.
The sisters, identified as Amna Misbah, 27, and Iman Misbah, 21, died on the spot.
The accident was reported at 7am and the police patrol immediately rushed to the spot, followed by the traffic police, ambulance and accident experts.
Although the police team reached quickly, the women had died. The police shifted the bodies to the morgue of Al Qasimi Hospital. The patrol cleared the way for traffic, which had come to a standstill for almost two hours.
The police urged the motorists to be cautious and also abide by the speed limit of the roads to avoid such horrific accidents that can lead to loss of lives or permanent disability.
