Age Steel too good for Al Badar
Age Steel open campaign with victory over Al Badar CC in Trucape Ramadan T20 CUP.
The tournament is being organised under the aegis by Ajman Cricket Council. After winning the toss Al Badar opted to bowl first. Age Steel started well and the openers put on 59 runs for the first wicket. Syed Hassan stepped up and played a brilliant innings of 60 not out off just 30 balls which included five 4s and three 6s. Ghulam Murtaza contributed valuable 40 to help his team reach a fighting total of 189/8 in 20 overs.
In reply, Al Badar started the chase well but the introduction of spinners made life difficult spinners were too difficult for their batsmen. Murtaza bowled a brilliant spell by grabbing 4/20. Abdul Ghafoor took three wickets.
Hassan was impressive in the field as he took two brilliant catches and had one smart stumping. He was declared man-of-the-match.
