The Sharjah Municipality launched a programme on Monday, titled “Your opinion matters”, for establishing communication with the public to provide best quality services.

The programme is aimed at receiving queries, opinions and complaints from the public through various means including social networking websites Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus and smart phones in addition to its hotline number 993. The programme will provide the public with an opportunity to offer their opinions and reveal their concerns about any issue pertaining to municipality’s services through special suggestion boxes installed in all buildings and branches of the civic body.

Sultan Al Mualla, Director-General of the Sharjah Municipality, said that the civic body is keen to provide all means to interact and communicate with the public.

He pointed out that the municipality will receive all applications, suggestions and opinions which would contribute to the development being witnessed in the emirate. All the suggestions, queries and complaints would be dealt with immediately, as the concerned department would study it and provide the answer through the means which it was received.
