Abu Dhabi Education Council launches new online Career Portal.
Abu Dhabi 23rd July 2012:
Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) proudly announces the
launch of a new online career portal which will provide world class
recruitment services and ease the pressure on the recruitment
teams in the Human Resources Department at ADEC. Moreover,
the iRecruitment service will help save resources, time and margin
for errors in ADEC’s pursuit of recruiting top class employees from
within the UAE as well as abroad.
ADEC is one of the largest employers within the government of
Abu Dhabi, it recruits an average of 100 employees per year in
headquarter related positions, and around 1000 employees in
school based positions. The processes behind the recruitment
involves many painstaking manual hours of screening, short
listing, interview scheduling, and finally hiring the right candidate.
Further, there are several related processes like coordinating visa
arrangements, travel and hotel arrangements for new hires
arriving from outside UAE.
The solution is built on the Oracle EBS iRecruitment module, with
enhancements and customizations to include travel and hospitality
arrangements for new recruits arriving into the country. The online
career portal will enable job seekers all over the world to register
their profile, thus creating a pool of candidates. Recruiters in ADEC
will publish vacancies on the site and candidates can search and
apply for jobs. The application also provides the flexibility to
authorized recruitment agencies to apply for vacancies on behalf of
candidates. The entire recruitment cycle will be handled online,
making the process faster and more efficient.
HE Salem Al Sayari, Support Services Sector Executive Director at
ADEC hails the application as another step further in adopting
technology and innovation in one of the key operational
procedures of ADEC. He says “Manpower is one of most important
pillars of an organization, and identifying and recruiting the best
personnel is a key step towards building a world class organization.
This application will enable us to open the doors to a wider
audience and help us choose from a wide pool of talented
candidates. The seamless integration of the i-Recruitment module
with the other modules of the e-Business Suite like HR and Payroll
makes it the perfect tool for a completely automated process.”
“The aim is to build an application that automates the entire
process from A to Z – right from raising the request for a vacancy
to employing the right candidate to that vacancy; and seamlessly
integrate with other already implemented solutions in ADEC, like
the Oracle EBS core HR, payroll modules and Visa application. The
iRecruitment module is developed in keeping with ADEC’s strategic
initiative to increase operational effectiveness, and create a paper
free work environment”, says Mr. Salem Al Mahrie, the Human
Resources Division Manager.
“The iRecruitment is a valuable addition to ADEC’s current
technological capabilities especially when one considers the large
number of school based staff being hired every year” says Mr.
Salem Al Zubaidi, the Division Manager for Personnel Services, in
the School Operations Sector.
One of the key challenges faced during the project was the tight
schedule and the busy schedules of the ADEC teams. However,
with the constant support and dedication of all participating teams,
the challenges were successfully overcome, and the application is
built to meet the stakeholder expectations.
His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, the Director General
of ADEC congratulated the entire team for their great efforts and
dedication that contributed towards this wonderful achievement.
