Dulsco Ramadan cricket
DUBAI - The Ramadan cricket season in the UAE begins in full force again with the announcement of the 11th Dulsco event scheduled to take off with July 19 when JRT Global FZC takes on Abu Dhabi Cargo Company (ADCC) in Group D in the opening fixture — first-ball 8pm at Zabeel Park cricket ground, Dubai.
The teams will play a round robin format with the top two from each group advancing to the knock-out semi-finals. The 16 teams in the Dubai Cricket Council (DCC) sanctioned championship are divided in four groups.
The other senior officials present were Dulsco’s Louis Fernandes, general manager, Finance and Administration; Mohammad Bilal, general manager-Information Technology; Muhammad Iliyas, general manager, Engineering and Property Services, Valerian Dsouza, general manager, Logistics; Paresh Karia, senior manager, WMS; and DCC’s Gopal Jasapara, the convener of the event.
“This is one of the oldest cricket tournaments in Dubai, and we are proud to be hosting the event for the 11th time,” said Johnson.
“We welcome all the teams and hope they will have a healthy competition during the Holy Month of Ramadan. We also thank the Dubai Municipality for allowing us to use their facility at the Zabeel Park,” he added.
