The Wings Project:Call to action for artists and designers Take part in Abu Dhabi Art2012 Wings Project, supported by ADCB
Abu Dhabi, 16 July, 2012: ADCB is proud to support Abu Dhabi Art’s 2012 Wings Project. Through this unique initiative Emirati talent from 18 years and above, have the opportunity to showcase art work to an international audience and to win a cash prize plus VIP tickets to the annual event by creating part of the Abu Dhabi Art 2012 brand.
Last year’s Wings Project was a huge success, featuring five emerging Emirati artists and designers who re-created the Abu Dhabi Art ‘Wing’ logo in their own style. This year, the artwork will be on display at the ADCB Exhibition stand at Abu Dhabi Art, used on various items in the fair’s design store, Artyfact, and across the fair programme on printed materials, advertising, merchandise and much more.
ADCB is proud to not only support The Wings Project but also participate in Abu Dhabi Art as an Associate Sponsor. This is ADCB’s second year of support to Abu Dhabi Art.
Martin Scott, Chief Marketing Officer at ADCB said of the partnership: "ADCB is committed to supporting worthy initiatives that enrich the local community and encourage UAE Nationals to realise their ambitions. The Wings Project brings together young talented Emirati artists and offers them a chance to have their work displayed prominently during Abu Dhabi Art. The government has invested heavily in developing the artistic and cultural landscape in Abu Dhabi and we firmly believe that lending support to young artists and raising the profile of their work will in turn promote Abu Dhabi as a rich cultural destination. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the organizers for great work in this space."
Abu Dhabi Art organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority has already become one of the most recognised international art fairs in the world. Held from 7-10 November, its programmes bring together galleries from all over the world to present the highest quality of art.
“Abu Dhabi Art is a global platform attracting key players from the international arts community.
