32 teams for AGT Nations Cup

DUBAI — In the spirit of Euro 2012, 32 teams comprising of nationalities from around the world, including the UK, Canada, Russia and the UAE, will battle it out at the AGT Nations Cup five-a-side football tournament on Friday.

 

The competition will take place across four pitches at the state-of-the-art indoor sports arena, Dubai Sports World, at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Mark Webb of DUPLAYS, said: “We’re excited to see who will be crowned the best five-a-side nation in Dubai. Every team must field a minimum of three players holding the passport of the country they’re representing. All the team shirts will be provided by adidas in the national colours, which will hopefully get the patriotic passion flowing.”

Franklin Connellan, of sustainable investment group AGT, sponsors of the event, said: “Everyone will definitely still be buzzing from the Euros and I’m sure many will be pouting like Ronaldo, passing like Xavi, but hopefully performing better than Rooney at what’s sure to be a brilliant day for all involved.”
