His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has called individuals and organisations to increase charity work and practise true Islamic values during the holy month of Ramadan.
Shaikh Mohammed comments came after he received thousands of proposals on the best initiatives that could be put forward and adopted during Ramadan. Shaikh Mohammed promised to implement some of these initiatives and postpone others to next years.
On his Twitter and Facebook pages Shaikh Mohammed said: “My dear brothers and sisters, I would like to thank you for sending Ramadan charity initiatives and I ask God to bless you all”.
Shaikh Mohammed added: “I received thousands of charitable, humanitarian, philanthropic and religious initiatives for the holy month of Ramadan from inside and outside the country. We shall do our very best to implement as much as we can during this Ramadan and we shall postpone the rest for the upcoming years. I urge individuals and establishments to increase their charity works during this holy month”.
