Abu Dhabi is the latest emirate to instigate a crackdown on satellite dishes atop roofs after the municipality launched a campaign banning landlords from having more than four on a building.
Sharjah Municipality issued a ban against dishes only last week, and officials in the capital hope the Abu Dhabi ban will improve the appearance, safety and security of the city.While landlords and building owners have been limited to four dishes per building, authorities have also urged residents not to install dishes on their balconies.
The municipality have yet to finalise fines or penalties for non-compliance.
