Landmark makes first foray into UAE health sector

Landmark Group, the retail and hospitality conglomerate, has made its first foray into the UAE's healthcare sector.
The first of its iCARE Clinics was inaugurated at the Oasis Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, the company said in a statement.
Landmark Group plans to invest AED100m to establish 20 iCARE Clinics across the UAE over the next 2-3 years, it said.
Micky Jagtiani, chairman, Landmark Group, said: "With this new venture for the Group in the healthcare industry, we aim to continue the Group's philosophy of offering comprehensive facilities and services for the entire family, thereby creating exceptional value."
Renuka Jagtiani, vice-chairperson, Landmark Group, added: "iCARE has been conceptualised as a one point family destination for all primary healthcare needs.
"Our aim is to offer quality medical expertise in a friendly and warm atmosphere, vital for effective wellness in today's lifestyle."
The clinics will offer a wide range of medical services, including paediatrics, gynaecology, dental, radiology, pathology, family medicine as well as general practitioner services.
Founded in 1973 in Bahrain, the Landmark Group has successfully grown into one of the largest retail organisations in the Middle East and India.
The Group operates over 1,200 outlets encompassing over 18 million sq ft across the GCC, India, Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon, Yemen, Libya, Nigeria, Sudan, Kenya and Pakistan.
