MD & CEO of DEWA receives US Consul General in Dubai

Dubai, UAE - 10th June, 2012: HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority ( DEWA ), received at his office Justin Siberell, the US Consul General in Dubai, in a farewell visit at the end of his tenure in the UAE.

 

His Excellency welcomed the Consul General, commending his efforts throughout his tenure in Dubai in strengthening joint relations and improving economic ties, and indicated that the meeting is a good opportunity to exchange views that contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between US companies and DEWA in the energy sector, and wished him every success in his upcoming diplomatic mission.

The US Consul General praised DEWA 's efforts to promote sustainable development of the Emirate, as a global commercial and strategic hub. He added that American companies have close ties with the UAE and Dubai in particular. He noted that many of the major American companies are based in Dubai as a regional hub to establish their presence and expand into markets throughout the region.

 

The US Consul thanked Al Tayer for the constructive cooperation he experienced from DEWA throughout his tenure in Dubai. He also thanked the MD & CEO for his warm welcome and hospitality and the opportunity to discuss various aspects of ongoing cooperation between the two sides.
