Chrysler Group LLC has
been honoured at the eighth annual Golden Chariot Awards, co-hosted by the
Russian Business Council (RBC), receiving the prestigious “Outstanding
Development of Supply Chain Operations” award for the global expansion
of its Mopar®
operation - after recently opening facilities in China and the UAE, the opening of
further parts distribution centres in Argentina and Brazil has also been

“Winning the Golden
award is a great accolade for Chrysler Group, as is testimony to
the hard work and commitment of our entire Mopar® team,
both in the USA and all around the world,” said Jack Rodencal, Managing
Director of Chrysler Group Middle East, who received the award at the first Golden Chariot awards ceremony to be
held in Dubai.

The event was attended by Heads of
Ministries and Government bodies from Russia and the UAE, members of the
Russian Parliament, delegations from Europe, Australia, North Africa and the
Middle East plus business leaders and embassy representatives of CIS countries
in the UAE.

“We are opening Mopar® operations in Argentina and Brazil in order to
further support our network of dealers and customers in these growing markets,”
said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar®, Chrysler Group LLC’s service,
parts and customer-care brand. “We will continue to look for strategic
opportunities to provide even more support for our customers around the world.”

The 3,000 sq. metre parts distribution center in Argentina will
distribute more than 10,000 part numbers to more than 25 dealer locations,
while the 4,500 sq. metre facility in Brazil will move more than 20,000 parts
to support 30 dealers. These facilities join the global network that already
includes the operations in Shanghai (16,000 sq. metres) and Dubai (18,000 sq.

“The new Mopar® RDC in
Dubai is a key part of our regional expansion plans,”
explained Rodencal. “Our sales grew significantly in 2011 - in most markets,
our growth rates were way above the industry average - and we finished the year
with record sales that were 20% up year on year. We will shift up another gear
in 2012 and 2013, our intention being to at least double our Middle East sales
over this period. In order to do so, we will further expand our model ranges
and strengthen our activities in the region.

“This means that it’s essential for us to offer
first-class after sales service, an important part of which is rapid parts
supply. That’s why we invested in opening our UAE-based Mopar® RDC -
to ensure that our distributors, and subsequently our customers, consistently
receive fast and efficient response.”

Strategically located in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone, the
facility will support the distribution of parts to general distributors and
local sales companies across the Middle East and Africa, handling over 30,000
part numbers.

Another strategic regional move saw CGME open five Mopar® Express Lane Service
Centers - Saudi Arabia (Riyadh and Jeddah), Kuwait and Jordan - in 2011. This
year will see 15 more opening including the UAE (Abu Dhabi), Qatar (Doha), Saudi
Arabia (Dammam and Jeddah), Iraq (Baghdad) and Kuwait.

Express Lane sets new global quality benchmarks for automotive
service, offering Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep® and Ram drivers quick and comprehensive multi-point
vehicle inspections that are very competitively priced,” said Rodencal. “The Express Lane
initiative delivers first-class after sales service to our customers and runs
parallel to the expansion of the Mopar® spare part and accessory range available throughout
the region.”

As a result of the
global strategic alliance between Chrysler and Fiat, Chrysler Group Middle East
is now also managing the Fiat business across the region, initially offering
the Fiat 500, Linea and Fiorino urban van, with the Ducato to join the range in
the near future. “This will see us competing in new vehicle segments and price
sectors, further expanding our customer audience and making the Mopar® RDC even more significant,”
added Rodencal.

The international Golden Chariot award was established by the Transport Committee of the Russian Parliament and
Ministry of Transport to recognise outstanding organisations involved in
the transport industry, freight forwarding, logistics education and science
plus other similar fields.

Dr. Igor Egorov, Chairman of the RBC in
Dubai and the Northern Emirates, officially announced that the RBC has set up a
dedicated Department of Transport and Logistics, saying “We are proud to
co-host such an important international event in the UAE, with Dubai joining
Moscow and Berlin as a venue for the Golden
awards ceremony. This is a great opportunity to bring together UAE
and Russian logistics companies, airlines, shipping companies, ports and
regulatory authorities to discuss the further development of the bilateral
trade and transportation channels between the CIS and the Middle East.”

With more than 500,000 parts, Mopar® has more than 50 parts distribution centers
worldwide. Chrysler Group LLC’s service, parts and customer-care
brand, Mopar® distributes parts and accessories in more than 90 countries and is the
source for all original-equipment parts for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep® and Ram vehicles.

Mopar® parts are unique in that they are engineered and tested with the same
teams that create factory-authorised vehicle specifications for Chrysler,
Dodge, Jeep® and Ram vehicles - a direct connection that no other aftermarket parts
company can provide.
