Abu Dhabi International Airport honours its Ten Millionth Passenger

The 10 millionth passenger of Abu Dhabi International Airport, the 3 year old Dana Al Malki with her dad, Faisal Al Malki receiving their prizes from Ahmad Al Haddabi, Senior Vice President Airports Operations at ADAC last night at the airport.

14th December 2010 Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi International Airport welcomed its ten millionth passenger within less than one year, achieving one more record in its recent history.

To celebrate this significant milestone, ADAC hosted a VIP welcome for the ten millionth passenger to travel through the airport, the three year old Dana Al Malki, who arrived with her family from Chicago, USA onboard Etihad Airways, the national carrier of United Arab Emirates.

The young passenger was presented with complementary Abu Dhabi Duty Free vouchers and an arrival and departure complimentary family pass to ADACs Hospitality Lounge at Abu Dhabi International Airport, along with a crystal replica of the airports iconic Air Traffic Control Tower. Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) joined ADAC in honoring Dana by presenting her with family tickets to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi the worlds biggest indoor theme park on Yas Island.

Ahmad Al Haddabi, Senior Vice President of Airports Operations at Abu Dhabi International Airport said: "This is a fantastic milestone. 2010 has proved to be a remarkable year for the customer service team and our partners at Abu Dhabi International Airport from Police, immigration, passport control and airlines. We are delighted to have welcomed the ten millionth passenger at Abu Dhabi International Airport, and that passengers continue to view Abu Dhabi International Airport as their preferred airport."

A new Air Traffic Control Tower is due to be operational in 2010 with the Midfield Terminal Complex development expected to open in 2015.
