Al Noor pupils hosted by hotel for an afternoon of arts and crafts
with a Christmas theme and a challenge to produce the
hotels official greetings card
A very special art session was hosted at the Grand Millennium Dubai today, when around 30 pupils from the Al Noor Centre for Children with Special Needs came to the hotel to take part in a festive painting and drawing challenge.
Accompanied by their 15 teachers, the children enjoyed an afternoon of art with a Christmas theme, contributing to a large painting and creating their own work as well as helping with the preparation of the hotels official greeting card to be printed up and sent out to regular clients and industry partners.
On hand to encourage and entertain the kids was a team from the hotel staff, led by general manager Alex Kassatly, who also arranged for a mini-buffet of delectable snacks created by the culinary team to round off a busy afternoon session.
It was wonderful to see the children get so involved in the joy of creating Christmas drawings and paintings, said Kassatly. And, we now have the pleasure of sending out very original and special greetings cards to all our friends and business contacts to wish them a happy Christmas and New Year.
The event marked the beginning of an extensive festive programme at the Grand Millennium Dubai, which includes St Nicholas celebrations in early December and runs through Christmas and New Year to the Russian Orthodox revelry in January.
